KUHN GF 1002 Series mounted tedders are designed to meet the needs of hay producers who demand the highest quality tedding of forage to ensure even and quick drydown. The GF 6502 and 7902, with small-diameter rotors are designed to excel at spreading short, thick crops. While the GF 7802, with slightly larger-diameter rotors, excels at spreading long, dense crops. The exclusive DigiDrive® coupling system provides low maintenance, long life and increased safety. The comfortable transport, ease of use and long life of these machines are just a few of the additional benefits.
Features may include:
High-Quality TinesWhen it comes to tines that actually engage the crop, KUHN leaves nothing to chance: top-quality raw material has been wound into four coils with long tine fingers, giving you exceptional reliability. A defined attachment system to the arms results in an unmatched design life of at least 180,000 cycles. This provides several hundred hours of work before tine replacement is necessary. Asymmetrical tine finger length means both fingers engage the crop equally for a more consistent pickup. The tine guards prevent accumulation of debris around the coils.
Asymmetrical Tine LengthThe asymmetrical tine length with longer outer fingers has several advantage to bring the machine’s tedding quality to perfection. This allows the outer finger to touch the crop earlier compared to symmetrical tines. It also ensures more complete tedding, along borders and between the rotors, where the tines overlap more in this sensitive area. Contacting the crop sooner means that the actual working width of each rotor is expanded and as a result, the entire machine working width is expanded.
Two Rotor DesignsChoose between two rotor designs, depending on the windrow or swath width, or type of crop.
The GF 6502 and the GF 7902 feature small-diameter rotors and are ideal for high-quality output. The small-diameter rotors ensure excellent tedding and are the key to fast drying, excellent ground adaptation and less impurities in the forage. Thanks to the steep pitch angle, the crop is fully turned over and well aerated for ultra-fast drying. The GF 6502 has six rotors, each with six tine arms and the GF 7902 has eight rotors, each with five tine arms.
The GF 7802, featuring six rotors with seven tine arms each, is ideal for spreading three large swaths produced by a 10’ mower. The larger rotors excel at handling long and heavy crop.
