Training And Safety Coordinator

To develop and follow through on training plans for employee development for Parts/Sales & Service. Perform onboarding training to all new hires for the stores. Train and certify all forklift operators and assist managers with safety concerns and issues at the stores. Assists with ensuring the company is compliant with all OSHA, DOT and Federal Laws including filing and confidentiality.

• Develops training plans for Parts/Sales/Service positions company wide
• Manages employee training files by keeping them current, organized, and maintaining proper confidentiality of the information
• Assign employees JDU training paths and courses
• Follow up to make sure training is completed
• Maintain training logs and files
• Performs training during new employee orientation and follow through onboarding training
• Performs accident investigations and remediate any violations immediately with appropriate managers
• Create “how to videos” and written training policies
• Assists the managers with defining career-path initiatives for employees
• Assists with ensuring new hires complete required paperwork
• Assists in administering employee engagement programs which may include recognition and wellness
• Develop Leadership training for the management team
• Assists the HR Director as needed in other related duties and projects

• 5 years’ experience in training and development in an HR department
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• General knowledge of OSHA laws, policies, and regulations
• Training experience a must
• Even tempered and non-bias character is a must
• Patience is a MUST
• Ability to use database software
• Understanding of confidentiality policies and other regulatory policies
• Associates Degree in Training preferred
• Must have a sense of humor, work in fast paced environment with diversity
